New Hobby.

Recently I've made it a point to go out for a walk everyday. After only a few days of consistently going out, I've managed to jog... rather comfortably!

As to explain why I'm ecstatic; I am NOT a runner. I hate running.

But now that I'm doing it regularly, I have to admit it feels pretty good! A kick-ass interchangeable playlist is not bad to have as well.

I have to be honest that I only started jogging because I desperately want to get slimmer thighs and calves, and through reading and consultation I've been told to exempt myself from harsh exercises that would actually build muscle and make my legs bulkier, and that the best way to actually tone down / burn the fat off them is through endurance exercises as compared to cardio.

Here's to slimmer legs!

PS: If you look to the right of this blog, its obvious that my Instagram is filled with photos of my running shoes than anything else. *happily obsessed*

Away.

It was never my intention to push people away, but I've realized that I kinda did anyways. To my friends who think I'm being distant; I apologize. Its nothing personal (at all) but being a self-professed loner and introvert, I hope its understandable why I need to have time to myself, every so often.

My 'me time' is one of the things thats keeping me sane. Its when I kind of hit 'Refresh' on my life, so I can return to being a social butterfly (okay exaggerated, but as long as you know what I mean) at the end of it and re-acquire my optimism.

If you noticed, my super-emo posts have been deleted because FFFUUU you thought I'd know better by now not to post anything when I have my period (PMS is real, okay) and especially not further into the night when my mind and my heart is basically just floating around.

Someone had told me before that I have split personalities. Not a medical condition, but its safe to say that this person noticed that I can either be fucking ridiculous or sickeningly sweet at night. And usually if its 'that time of the month' I'm the former. At least from my personal observation.

My Twitter's reactivated.

I know what you're thinking; HA-HA-HA not even a week has gone by, and she's given up. Its nothing like that la okay mafans. The only reason why I reactivated was to notify my sister that I've received (finally) an email from the Manchester School of Architecture, and I needed her to ask her friends doing architecture there for tips and tricks.

Sadly Twitter's one (if not The) of the quickest way to reach her.

I figured to just let my account stay open, just in case she replies, and also because even if it has only been a few days, I can honestly say that I've lost my Twitter-dependency.

Usually if I'm frustrated, I'll think of a good sentence... so I can tweet it. Obsessed to the max! I must've annoyed so many people... I swear.

Facebook still off, because I have little reason to go back to it. The only thing I update daily nowadays is my Instagram. Because mmm yeah FML I am now an iPhone user. My Blackberry had gone cuckoo, and just in time for my birthday. Thus a new phone, from the parents, as a gift.

I probably won't be updating this space as often as well... Simply because I'm enjoying my time away from the internet. Well, minus the occasional browsing, I no longer waste hours and hours of just being in front of a computer.

Its quite liberating.

Well, thats about it. Off to sleep now. Good night !

Of Books!

Found a new series to read today! But, alas, I need to finish reading the pile I already have at home. And the two new additions to it that I purchased last week even though I told myself to ONLY buy an exercise book for IELTS. Not my fault the language section is placed next to the row of fiction.

Pretty excited to start on a new series, especially after being done with The Hunger Games.

:-D

P/S: And the series is only part of my list of about 20+ other books to buy... *smacks forehead*

A Celebration.

Update: I have Instagram now. But no I am using neither an Android or an iPhone. I'm basically just leeching off my mother's iPad. (-___-)

If you have one, follow me! Only if you want to, of course. :-)

- - - - - -

'Twas a good night with friends (as usual) celebrating Eja's birthday and Nussow's belated. Nights like these makes it harder to believe that we're all twenty-one / turning twenty-one. Behaviour-wise, we're still very childlike and chaotic.

But I wouldn't have it any other way, really. We'll be mature poised adults when the time comes, but for now, we'll enjoy being young.

Proper update will come after sitting for my IELTS (this Saturday) that I can't wait to just get it done with, so I can just focus on choosing a university and until I get my memory card back from Eja, who requested to have all the photos we took tonight.

Also hoping Hawa would upload the video of us singing (or shouting really) happy birthday. Madness.

Refrained from eating (except for breakfast) the whole day to save stomach space for the night. And above was the result. And to be completely honest; I'm still hungry. FMFS (F My Fat Self).

With birthday girl Eja and lovely Fatin.

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY
EJA!

and of course (again),
NUSSOW!

MEW.

Fell in love with Mew the first time I saw Pokemon I heard 'She came Home for Christmas' on MTV, more than 10 years ago. Roughly.

I was pretty obsessed with the song back then, and being a total noob, and not knowing how to download songs (I only learned how when I was 18, HOHOHO) and not keen on buying albums, I always looked forward for the music video to play whenever I turn on MTV.

Which was nearly all the time back then when MTV isn't a shitload of reality TV.

Never looked back after that. Definitely something you should lend your ears to listen to! Some current (okay, not really pft) songs from them that I've taken time to revisit and listen to recently;

ENJOY!

Petronas GP 2012.

I wanted to continue my (seemingly never-ending) posts on Italy, until I realized that my laptop is still under repairs (Apple services always takes FOREVER) and the pictures are currently inaccessible since I passed them to a family friend so she can extract the pictures of her family that we took.

So that's how I end up here.

The race weekend lasts for 3 days every year, starting from Friday, all the way till Sunday; Where the actual race is held. The first two days are usually filled with practice and qualifying rounds that will decide who gets the pole positions.

I didn't bother to come on Friday because there usually aren't much going on. It is however a good day to snag merchandises since most would be selling like hotcakes come Saturday and Sunday.

Still kinda regretful I didn't get that Ferrari shell backpack. It was sold for RM 99! MAJOR STEAL compared to everything that was sold there. Even official team lanyards costed RM 100. (-___-)

It was a beautiful day, and I was supposed to be roaming the place with Paca... until he received a better deal, offered by a friend who got an extra pass to the paddock.

And of course, like a true friend; He ditched me.

Though of course, no hard feelings, coz I would have done the same. HAHAH!

So I walked around and took advantage of the good weather to snap photos, until the next practice round begin. Went to my seats and here, was what the view was like from my seat.

The queue to buy drinks. Luckily, I bought mine earlier.

About halfway through the second qualifying round (Q2) I headed to my parents' seats. There is an extremely long story as to WHY we weren't at the same seats.

YOU MAY SKIP THIS STORY, REALLY.

Well, to begin with; Since 2009, my father have been lucky enough to always receive free tickets to the race. And since I missed the race in 2011 because my father didn't enquire about free tickets, and only told me AFTER the race weekend was over that we actually could've gotten tickets... By then it was too late. Obviously. Pfft.

So this year I made sure to ask him every chance I get. I started bugging him from the beginning of January. Heck, possibly even earlier. And every time he would either brush it off or give vague answers. This went on... up until a week before the race.

He told me to just buy tickets, and obviously that bummed me out a little. Tickets to the race are NOT cheap, unless you don't mind standing by the hills. I mean, I don't mind, honestly. But the Malaysian leg of the race is usually very unpredictable. And by that I mean that there is always a possibility of rain. And I would prefer not to be standing over a hillside, all wet and soggy.

I nearly gave up, until Thursday (a day before the race weekend began) I told myself that I SIMPLY COULD NOT MISS THIS. Who knows when else will I get to come, since I'm planning to flee the country in September, and hopefully catch the race in Silverstone.

So I called my mother asking her to confirm whether or not we were getting any free access, and she told me to just purchase them, coz I'd rot if I ever waited for my father's answer (Okay I'm exaggerating here, but you get the point). Tried calling my father, but unfortunately he was at a meeting. I recalled he did say once to just buy our own tickets, so that to me, was him agreeing to me making a purchase.

I shall not disclose the price of the tickets here, but anything gets pricey when you buy six of them, y'know?

So the purchase was confirmed and I breathed a sigh of relief. OH YAY HELLO RACE WEEKEND UH HUH UH HUH UH HUH.

On Friday when I skipped the race because I headed to KL, to purchase books, and to fangirl over Girls' Generation with Hawa and Maira, I got a call from Ayah saying that if I wanted tickets, I could head over to the box office in Sepang and claim it under this one person's name.

OH NAAAA. Did I just spent all that money for nothing? Well, yes, kind of. Depending on how you look at it.

And when I told my parents to give away the free tickets to someone else, they disagreed, because they got better seats which costs double the ones that I bought a day before. So it ended up that my WHOLE family sat at Topaz, while I sat at K1 with Paca and Eja.

I had takers for the other 3 tickets, but since it was so last minute... Everyone else canceled. So. Yeah. Three tickets. Unused. SAD. But now I know to always wait till the very last minute for Ayah's answer.

LESSON LEARNT. MONEY BURNT. But its okay... At least thats what I tell myself, coz there is nothing left to do about it, really.

STORY ENDS HERE.

So I headed to where my parents were sitting, and this was their view of the track;

Attempted to take pictures of the cars, but failed miserably.

I'm hoping this is Kimi.

Pretty sure this is Jenson Button.

Sometimes I get lucky to at least have the car in the picture, but most of the pictures I took either looked like this;

Or this;

So yeah, if you're looking for nice pictures, you've come to the wrong place, but I will direct you to the pictures Paca took for Newborn Pixs.

Fail.

Mama and Ayah.

Where my seat was located.

Sweaty disgusting looking me. No difference from the my daily self, really.

The next day I headed to the circuit with Paca and Eja, who Paca and I had to wait for nearly 2 hours, and she still has the guts to tell me wait a little while longer so she could put on sunscreen.

(-_____-)

#whylahihavefriendslikethis

From the sky alone we could conclude that it was going to be a wet race. Wet races are exciting... until they decide the race should stop altogether.

The seats only look unoccupied. It actually began to rain pretty bad, and people sitting up front moved to the back to prevent from getting wet. But of course, my friends and I are stubborn as !*&#!(* and refused to move our asses.

I snapped a couple more pictures, but I mostly took videos. Coz whenever I miss the sound of engines, I can always play them back, over and over again. *bliss*

The rain actually did put the race to a halt, which led me to thinking that I'm bad luck, coz the last time I was there in 2009, they had to stop the race altogether because it was raining really heavily.

Luckily enough, after nearly an hour, the race resumed... till the very last lap! Hurrah!

The race is over by this time. The winner; Fernando Alonso, driving for Scuderia Ferrari.

I look stumpy here (-____-) I can't strike a flattering pose to save my life! But don't you just loveee my fluorescent McLaren shirt? I do! But not as much when Ferrari won in the end... You failed me Lewis. WHY WHY.

Ferrari supporters celebrating their win. I would've joined them if I was in my usual Ferrari tee... But of course I decided to go for McLaren. (-___-)

And thus, the day ended. Not without having to go through bad traffic on the way home, of course.

PS: Some pictures I took with my phone, that I posted on Twitter;

LUNCH. Dry burger and soggy fries have never tasted better. And the fries were the object of my unflattering Friend Zone behaviour. Such unlucky soggy fries.

The Boy Who Turned Twenty-One and his Saran-wrapped Car.

Update:

Post on the night can also be read on Hawa's, Zue's and the birthday boy himself; Nussow's blog.

Psst clearly I'm not the only one with love on their mind. Its cliche to question why we're all growing up so fast, so I'm gonna go ahead and question WHY ARE WE EVEN GROWING UP AT ALL. Its so scary. Talking about love, marriage. I mean, back in Egypt the topic of marriage was all the rage, but I never understood it.

And friends who are already married, are engaged, and those who are seriously planning to marry their current partners... Dear God. Scary! But in a good way, of course. As long as they don't elope, coz I get to nom on free food.

(-_____-)

- - - - - -

The girls (Hawa, Zue, Tiq and Eja) and I have been planning a birthday prank for the soon-to-be (now, is) twenty-one year old Nussow, on the 2nd of April.

However on the day itself, the plan had to be altered a couple of times, because for some odd reason the birthday boy decided to do everything opposite of his norm on his special day.

But it eventually turned out to be an awesome night out, despite suddenly ending up having to carry out the mission in Bangsar, instead of the predetermined area in Sunway, to the KTM station in Shah Alam, to somewhere in the vicinity of Empire Shopping Gallery.

Things we do for good friends, really.

 Unloading the Saran wrap.

Tiq, video woman of the night.

The end result.

After that was real-life stalking from us girls, done from inside my car, parked only a few metres away from the victim's.

Saw the now twenty-year old dude, and surprised him with snow and string sprays and a couple of good party popper, of course.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NUSSOW!

Calming down. Apparently he thought a bunch of gangsters wrapped his car, and that a person would walk up to him and go "KAU PARK TEMPAT AKU?!"

Cehh emosi sungguh gangster. Even went through all the trouble of wrapping a person's car instead of just smashing its windows. (-___-)

Took up a whole catering-sized roll of wrap to cover the whole car.

Spiderman... (-____-)

After that we headed to McDonald's, made ourselves at home and feasted on cakeee!

This picture is so gay... I can't. HAHAHA.

Stupid darn candles didn't sparkle like I imagined.

Look at Haziq, with his hands clapped together. Just look at him.

Tweeting, coz hella, we couldn't have tweeted during the operation. Twitterheads.

Oh, y'know, just your normal bunch of ill-behaving twenty year olds (except for one) turning twenty one.

To finish it off; An ode to Girls' Generation.

Pssst if you must know, Hawa (far left on the last photo), Maira (not pictured anywhere) and I went to see Girls' Generation when they performed at KLCC recently, in accordance to the Formula One. It was pretty silly and a hundred percent unplanned, but of course, a memorable experience anyways. I don't have pictures from the night... AT ALL, but you can read about it on Hawa's blog, here.

And lastly, again, to end this post;

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY NUSSOW!
