Something Happened on a Saturday.

So(!) Last Saturday I finally got to meet my buddy Eja, since I didn't get to attend her birthday soiree on the ninth. Oh damn that mix up is so tragic, I swear. Finally after a lot of delays, what with me being busy with my assignments and her preparing for her finals this Wednesday, we got to see each other.

We didn't do any planning beforehand, so we had no idea where we were headed. I think both of us were certain of one thing and one thing only: We were hungry and we want food. Yes sir. So it happens that a friend of mine invited me over to his house for his brother's wedding, and I thought: FREE. FOOD. But since I'm unbelievably bad at finding my way towards a destination (and Eja is no exception, we've gotten lost together a couple of times...), so I decided to just skip the wedding and instead headed towards Bangsar.

My plan, initially, was to taste this famous Nasi Lemak (banana leaf rice) at a shop called Nirwana there but OF COURSE at that moment I simply was not able to recall any information about the place. So we somehow ended up having lunch at Alexis.

Mixed berries meringue.

I think Alexis is crapping everyone. Of all the times I've been there, the pavlova is never available, but THIS always is. Its pretty much a pavlova, seriously, thus why I'm pretty confused and curious  as to how pavlovas are supposed to look and taste like from Alexis's POV.

Whilst we were eating, I received an epiphany.

Okay no lah. I was reminded of my friend Mia who is studying to be a French teacher at IPBA, which is pretty near to where we were (Okay I say that its pretty near, but I honestly don't have any idea). So I called her up, and we headed to Pavilion, where the three of us met up.

OH. Plus one other person; Mia's boyfriend. LOL.

WE GONNA INTERRUPT YOUR DATE AND WE'RE NOT GONNA BE THE LEAST ASHAMED OF IT.

Though thankfully enough, her boyfriend blended well with us (except the part where we laugh hysterically at, well... everything) and wasn't the type who sulked coz we interrupted his date. Mia, we approve! ^^ As if she's going to care, but whatever.

Tallest, taller, tall.
The word short does not exist in our vocabulary.

Fake laughing. A thing originated by our dear friend, Ayui, who shall join us in all our shamelessness when she gets home from South Korea for her break.

Trying out BB cream at Etude House. ZITS ARE EVIL. They invade my nose, all. The. Time. If I were to have been there with my mother, my guess is that she probably would not have let me squat in public.

BTW, damn my hair grows fast. Like, seriously. Its grown two and a half inches longer in a month.

After walking around and making a few purchases (well, technically I was the only person who shopped for something), Eja and myself bid Mia and her boyfriend goodbye.

Another one of my dear friend who was supposed to join the trip that day was Paca. But unfortunately he couldn't make it coz he has assignments to finish. So we decided to just drop by to where he was, coz I haven't seen this guy for TWO months since I've been in Malaysia. Which is pretty stupid, really.

And soo Eja and I began our trip (assisted by GPS, of COURSE) and somehow we eventually ended up on an expressway headed towards Ipoh. What's amusing is how our first reaction was; WTF HO NO HO NO HO NO, but then when we thought about it we were like; "Apa yang sedap kat Ipoh, eh?" (What's good to eat in Ipoh?).

-___________-" Trust US to be thinking that instead of WTF WE'RE HEADED TOWARDS IPOH.

Fortunately enough, we found our way after one too many wrong turns, and made it to Kajang. I think lah, Kajang. LOL WTH. IDEK.

So what happened was... I finally got to meet up with my long lost twin / male doppelganger. LOL!

If you have the amazing ability to somehow recognize him from this dark photo, KUDOS! If you watch NTV7 (especially on weekend mornings) you would know that he used to be a host for their kids' programme. Read about it HERE.

Which... I... never... got to watch. I feel like such a bad friend(!) But the thing is, I rarely ever watch NTV7 anymore, and am rarely ever awake early enough on the weekends to catch the show. And whenever I DO remember, I somehow always manage to forget when the show actually starts, or just miss the show altogether. -_____-"

And now he's no longer the host.

But BAHHH whatever. If I wasn't hospitalized back then, who knows whether he'd stumble upon that audition call in the newspaper. :-P

And after that, Eja and I went back to Shah Alam and slept like a mega baby. Whatever a MEGA baby is.

On another note, I have a rather embarrassing confession:

I want a boyfriend.

And I blame it all on Simon, my Jordanian friend here in college. I'll tell you guys about the details... later, because I have a deadline to catch(!).

Before I properly end this post, I wanna say that; I'm happy now. I'm in a good place. My classes are something that I enjoy going to (except English, coz its bloody boring), my new friends are awesome, I get to drive every day, I've made friends with a race other than Malays and people other than just mere Malaysians, I receive assignments, I don't need to study everything straight out of JUST a textbook, I'm finally able to use full English in conversations (I missed that ever since I left primary school)... I'm just happy.

I get to actually experience the university life I've always imagined and wanted. So even though I would always feel that tiny sense of regret for giving up medicine, I'm more than glad that I decided to leave it behind... coz what I exchanged it for is so much better.

Alhamdulillah. :-)
