Coffee Planet.

So Coffee Planet just opened its doors in Laman Seri, Shah Alam recently and its apparently the first ever Coffee Planet in Malaysia.

I found out about them months back when I went to see my lecturer at her office directly above Coffee Planet itself. She told me about how the interior work was done by her husband. Even got served a cuppa at that time, but since I'm not a coffee person I found it a bit strenuous to have to finish that one (small) cup.

Months later, the same lecturer invited our class to attend the opening. I just recovered from my two and a half day of misery. Being sick, I mean. So I wanted to go out and asked my (usual) battalion of friends to join me.

But that night, only Eja joined me because her other housemates went to sleep (or something). Ceh, do I sound bitter?

And yeahhh. Eja. Again. I know. I can't get rid of her. Until one of us gets into a serious relationship, maybe. Which will prolly never happen or is going to take furrrrrrr everrrrr if it does, because we're both chronically phobic to commitment.

When we arrived, Yuna was already performing and we had a hard time finding a good spot where we can actually see her FACE.

Before coming, Eja and I had a conversation in the car about how food should be free at an opening. Give the people tiny (albeit, still free) tastes so we know what we would want to come back for. But then again, thats just us. Total cheapskates.

A guy came up to us with a tray of sandwiches when we arrived, and already having the belief that everything there that night was free, I reached out my hand to pick up one of them. Until I heard the guy say;

"Oh ini tengah discounted price" (They're on a discounted price). I retracted my hand and said; "Oh, ada harga eh?" (Oh, there's a price?)

FAIL. I isz cheapsz like that.

Thankfully, after much waving and jumping (once, even at an unknown person we thought was our friend) I managed to capture my lecturer's attention and shimmied under the red belt we go. THIS IS EXCITING BECAUSE THERE ARE WAITERS WHO COME AT YOU AND OFFER YOU FREE FOOD.  #cheap

We got ourselves a table yo! Free-food totting waiters and waitresses, come at us!

Queue for...

Ended the night with (more) eating with friends at Pak Su. And apparently so... for the first time, everyone at the table is single.

So... yeah.

For reviews on Coffee Planet though; You'd need to ask someone else coz I am not a coffee enthusiast and the iced latte I had that night gave me a headache. So yes, I probably won't have the best things to say about the franchise.

But come on now, is no one else wondering why there isn't a proper GOURMET TEA joint? Its not fair how coffee-people get so much coffee, anywhere and I'd always have to resort to sachets at home...

Malaysia needs to bring in THIS;

Okay, the thing I'm talking about is that TWG cafe in the middle of the two escalators. They had a lot of these in Singapore.

So jelly.

*cries*
