Singapore, Ahoy!

Olaaa amigos! So... the thing is... I'm excited! Because in less than 24 hours, I'm gonna be in Singapore for the first time everrrr.

Unlike most people, I'm headed there to watch this weekend's F1 race and not to visit Universal Studios. Which is actually, a pretty sad thing. Though my parents kinda promised to bring the whole family there once my sister is done with her PMR. So all is good.

I miss watching F1 races! So yeah, I'm ecstatic!

So it was my dad's birthday last Tuesday (September 20th), and usually we would go out for dinner, but my dad being the un-extravagant person that he is (except when he visit Bicester Village and Cheshire Village in the UK) opted to simply have dinner at home.

I actually wanted to place a booking at Rakuzen, but hey. Whatever makes my dad happy. WHOEVER DARES MENTION MY CARD BILLS RIGHT NOW... GO JUMP OFF A CLIFF! My previous bill was a massive amount coz I helped buy my sister's Macbook, okay? :-D

How cute?!

And why yes, I do take after my father more. Hopefully I inherited his work ethics as well. *tsk*

My father's birthday cake was a mille crepe cake in Original (Vanilla) and Mango. If you search over the internet, you'd know that mille means 'a thousand' or something like that in French. And well, crepe is crepe lah! Its kinda like pancake, but is thinner.

So when you put the word mille and crepe together, you get mille crepe and basically it means a thousand layer of crepe.

If you look closely at the picture of the slice of it above, you'll see that it has A LOT of layers of crepe, place on top of each other, not forgetting the vanilla cream in between. :-9

(I apologize for the bad photos, I think by now its clear that I'm not a very talented in taking them.)

Funny thing about the cake is that the place didn't have one whole cake for sale, so I bought 6 slices of vanilla and 6 slices of mango (because Ayah lovesss mangoes) so they'd at least LOOK whole. But mehhh if they did sell one (uncut) whole cake, I'd imagine we'd make a big mess when slicing them.

If you're planning on getting some for yourself, you can head over to Food Foundry, located in PJ. Somewhere near SS2.

To end this post; HAPPY BIRTHDAY AYAH. I love you! Although I don't show it, coz you know how I am. You've always been my idol from when I was little, and still.

:-)

PS: I still haven't blogged about Raya. -_________-
