Pokemon Movies - Part 1.

Yes, trust me to make a post on Pokemon movies! LOL. The truth is, I've always been in love with Pokemon ever since I found out about them. I used to have their CDs (they've somehow disappeared along with a lot other CDs in this house), figurines (goneee) and game cards (also goneee SOBS, I had some rare ones too!).

Luckily I still have their books (YES books, with an 'S') and... oh! My GameBoy colour! Which I don't think works anymore, unless they still sell the cartridges. But fear not, coz I haveee a Nintendo DS Lite to play Pokemon on! ^^

So for the past week or so, I've been catching up on some Pokemon movies. I've watched five movies, that is... until the Pokemon era suddenly went on a halt. Turns out theres TWELVE of the movies, the latest one released in 2009. I lost out on about TEN YEARS worth of Pokemon.

Will never forgive myself. :'-(

But I got a chance to watch the ones I already did, along with one other that I hadn't. Its been slow, I know. I could've finished the movies in days, but basically, I become more and more disappointed with every movie.

If you didn't already know, each movie will feature a rare Pokemon. The first movie featured this badass:

Mewtwo.

and this adorable-ness that I used to draw all the time:

Mew.

What disappoints me is that, the Pokemon in the later movies gets less and less intimidating, and I think is so badly created. Its as if that they didn't put their hearts into making all the other Pokemons that come after the original 150 ya know? Its like:

"Just sketch a weird creature and we'll give it a name."

SO SAD.

The second movie is still acceptable, starring Pokemons such as:

Articuno.

 Zapdos.

 Moltres.

Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos.

Lugia.

Theyy still look badass, and not ridiculous, like the legendary Pokemon featured in the third movie:

Entei.

I mean. WTF. I'm all about Gryffins and stuff. But this is just ridiculous. But I am still able to accept this... Entei, coz it still looks pretty fierce. But the FOURTH MOVIE is the downfall, honestly.

WHAT THE HECK IS THISSS:

 Celebi.

Are you seeing this?? I hate Celebi, honestly, I don't even find it cute. And it annoys me how its supposedly SUPER POWERFUL (that was what the movie pictured), when its tiny anddd URGHH. JUST LOOK AT IT?!?

I'm also kinda pissed that its more powerful than THIS:

Suicoon.

Now THIS should've been the main Pokemon in the movie. Coz I kinda like it (I'm biased towards Pokemon that looks like they belong to the cat family). But nooo they just had to pick the tiny big googly eyed Pokemon. YES sorry that I take this too seriously, but UGHHH.

There is another movie about Mewtwo before they continued with the fifth movie, which featured:

Latios and Latias.

AKA annoying flying things. I mean, I think I like their heads coz its similar to Lugia, but I dislike their cries soo muchhh. And their strange wings. And the fact that they don't have legs! Its like those little chicken figurines people sell by the streets. The one that doesn't have legs. Okay, I don't know how to describe it lahhh, and there is no picture also, so hopefully you know what I'm talking about.

And the sixth movie almost reduced me to tears. Coz THIS is the main Pokemon in the movie:

Jirachi.

WTF. Seriously. WTF. I SIMPLY CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY EVEN CREATED THIS POKEMON. Basically it just sleeps for a thousand years, and wakes up only for the 7 days that a certain comet appears visible to the people on Earth.

SO PISSED OFF I CAN'T EVEN. ARGHHH. Again, WHY is it that the 'guardian' of these (not) cute, powerful Pokemon looks a lot fiercer than they do? The spotlight should've been on them! In the sixth movie's case, it should've been:

Ebsol.

Ebsol obviously isn't the best looking Pokemon, but like I said, I can't help but have a soft spot for four-legged Pokemon that looks like they are distant relatives of your average household pet.

I haven't yet watched the seventh, eight, ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth movie. And its mainly because I can't stand to become disappointed all over again. Wuwuwuwu.

But I still would, and I'll make a post about it here as well.

Ohh I pray that at least ONE of the movies left have a worthy Pokemon to focus on!

Now I shall return to what I was initially doing, which was to find the charger of my Nintendo DS Lite, coz I wanna play me some Pokemon.

Goodbye.
