K-Pop Tarts.

My relationship with my insane K-Pop FTW Club friends are one of both LOVE and HATE.

Seriously. I have never yet seen fandom at such a great extent. I mean, these friends of mine are... How do I say this appropriately? BONKERS. Like, I get the feeling of being infatuated by something, but seriously mannn. A fandom of all things Korean is just. GAWD. Overwhelming? Compelling? Overpowering? Geez, I don't even know how to describe such a thing. Okay well that might have something to do with my lack of an extended vocabulary, but thats another topic altogether.

For the past couple of days, I guess you could say I was vacuumed into the world of all things Korean. I still hadn't brought myself to watching knockout series (or so they say) like 'You're Beautiful', 'Boys Over Flowers', 'Coffee Prince', etc etc because I just KNOW that once I get my filthy hands on them I'd want to finish them ASAP. And well, that would just coincide with me trying to redeem myself in terms of exam results, don't you think?

So maybe later when I'm done with the first year. More so when my sister Lisa have been raving about previously mentioned shows as well.

Okay back to me being vacuumed. WAHA. Honestly, I've always enjoyed Korean and Japanese game shows coz they are all so creative original and SO BLOODY HILARIOUS. And anything that makes me laugh until mucous comes out my nose and tears out of my eyes gets one friggin' big CORRECTION MARK. Nike style babeyh.

So naturally, every time when I menyibuk menyempit sebelah a friend who happens to be watching one of these shows, I'll just glue myself in position and watch. I've watched Star King before, and I loved. It. I mean, how can you not love a show with talent (be it rare or just plain odd), ultra cool + famous contestants (okay famous for them lah... I just happen to jab my friend's laptop screen and asking them inane questions regarding who the personalities are, from what group are they from, etc etc) and funny funny funny texts and effects all throughout. I love those things!

See how I can't properly describe this? I should probably insert a screencap here later so you'd understand what I'm talking typing about.

But recently, friends of mine introduced me to 'Explore Human Body'. And that show gets KUDOS from me as well. Well, it depends on the episode, but pretty much almost all of them manage to make me laugh at *some point.

And thus, it is only to be expected that at least ONE person catches my eyes, and this person issssss.... *OMG this seriously needs an impressive drum roll coz I rarely ever go all 'I love you' over a guy lately.

....... dadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadaadadadadadaa:

Eunhyuk of Super Junior!

I LOVE this guy!
(see the word love there, this is like, a revelation for me okay!)

Coz he's so FUNNY!
Sure, admittedly, he's not the most good looking in the group,
but his adorable nature just makes up for it.

Okay, I sounded a little too superficial there.
Sorry. Just trying to brush off anyone who's gonna say:

"Tak comel pun!"
"Ada yang lagi comel!"

Watch him in action first, then maybe you'll see why I'm quite taken by him.

*GAGS.

Despite my love for their game shows, I sure do hope my friends FAIL in pulling me into the vortex of obsessive compulsive behaviour towards all things Korean coz... DUDE! Super dangerous okay! I mean, sure I'm in love with John Mayer but I don't go around saving every picture I could find of him and know every word to his songs!

Okay, not entirely true about the former one (looks guiltily at 'JOHN MAYER' labeled folder on desktop) and errr... the latter (stuns self coz I just continuously belted out JM's Battle Studies album right from his first track to the last.)

BUT THATS NOT THE POINT!

These K-Crazy people ahh aiyoooooo. You should see their Google Chrome front page thingy (sorry, I use Safari). I mean, they're all of fast links to All K-Pop, and some other fan sites. -_____-" And just the other day, myself and a few other 'neutral' fans got a lesson on Korean 101 where a few of our fanatical friends told us about how much the Koreans worship their artists, etc etc. I mean, all throughout that talk, I was going:

"What the F," in my head.

And proceeded with making jokes about how easy it'd be for them if there were exams on this subject, whilst all of us mere 'commoners' will just end up banging our heads on desks and pulling our hairs out till our heads bleed trying to come up with the answers, all the while questioning the 'necessity' and motives behind all this detailed information.

I shudder thinking about how these friends of mine would act ONCE (not IF, I just KNOW that they'll do WTV they possibly can to make this possible) they step foot on Korean grounds. I mean, AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO PREDICTS A RIOT?!?!

Koreans Trampled by Obsessed Malaysian K-Pop Fans.
(obviously, no paper would hire myself for they'd think; "Thou headlines suck".)

*Kaiser Chiefs reference earlier was unintended, but absolutely proud of. WAHAHA.

When my family and I went to Korea in 2008, it felt like any of our other overseas excursions. Well, different experiences lah. But we weren't actually hyperventilating and going "OMG OMG OMG OMG" at everything. Once even, our tour guide asks whether we know of any Korean artistes and all we could come up with was: "RAIN". Hitam itu kemas blablabla NAMA SAYA RAIN. Haha. I tried sounding smart by mentioning the name of the hero of My Girl, but then it came out wrong. DAMN FAIL. Lee Dong Wok la pandai! (Okay, ni pun tak pasti betul, ah takpe. BANTAI.)

But oh well, I'm off to copy a bulk load of them game shows from a friend now.

You better just pray that by the next time you visit this blog, it won't have Eun Hyuk as a tiled background, 'Sorry Sorry' as an automated song, and a post about '100 Reasons I Love All Things Korean".

*gulp.
