My HTC Hero has proven itself to be just that: A hero.
Not that I have a problem with that. I love the thought that my phone is hard core, especially when I bought it because I had a cat (who died) with the same name; Hero. I find it comforting that my phone is a surviver. Oh and, I KNOW, you'd think a person would consider other aspects other than 'I have a cat with the same name' when purchasing a phone. But yeah. I did just that.
My presh baby, Hero. :'-(
So for a person who doesn't even use her phone, it can be considered annoying that I want a new one.
Don't get me wrong; I love my current phone. Yes. Largely because of its name, but whatever. But its beginning to lag a bit. Okay I just realize how ridiculous I sound now, coz if you'd get to know me, you would know that I am could very well be the person who is most unattached to her phone. Bak kata my friend Eja, my phone is constantly dalam longkang, coz I hardly ever answer calls / SMS, and it is considered a tiny miracle to many when I do.
I don't have a really good reason for wanting a new phone, other than: I just want one. But the thing is, in our family; you don't get a new phone unless your current one is broken beyond repair (except if you're the person who brings in the money AKA Ayah / Mama). I am not dissatisfied at all towards my parents for implementing this rule.
Now, a lot of people who don't really know me make assumptions that I get whatever the hell I want, all I need to do is just say the word (Yes, you know who you are). But it doesn't work that way in my family. And I love that. Most of the things I ask for from my parents need to go through a strict checkup on whether it is really necessary or not. So unfortunately, no, I didn't get a tiger cub for my last birthday.
So yeah, right now I am awaiting the moment my Hero is rendered useless so that I could get my grubby sausage-y hands on a new piece of technology.
I'm currently quite smitten by the Samsung Galaxy Tab and completely disregarding anything Apple right now, because I'm too Android biased.
A tab over a phone because it'll be harder to ignore / forget / leave behind. My logic = Not everyone else's.
But mehh I ain't in a rush. The tab is still lacking in some points, so in the meantime, I'll be sticking with my Hero, saving a precise amount of money a month so that by the time they make all the necessary and really consequential upgrades, and costs less than my arm and feet combined; I'll be more than prepared to make a purchase.
P/S: Class tomorrow OMG why am I so excited, seriously.
