Meet MGMT, if you haven't already. In which case that'll make you somewhat of a frog under tempurung kelapa (sorry was never good in simpulan bahasa or... all that shiznit)... coz they are awesome.
I can't remember the first time I came across their music, but its safe to say that 'Kids', since the very first day I heard it; has been my feel good song, up until now. Thus when a friend informed me that they were coming to Malaysia I was devastated because I would obviously miss it since I was tucked away (in Egypt) from any chances of ever experiencing live music ever again ever since my first and only concert; Jason Mraz's.
Paramore was a HUGEEE stroke of luck. I was quite determined, and when I found out they were playing in Manchester during my holidays... I didn't think twice about booking a flight there. Coz heck. I ain't missing this la dude. Thankfully enough, my sister studies there. WOOHOO.
Before Paramore came out, B.o.B. performed a few of his songs, and a cover of MGMT's (YES) 'Kids'. The details of my going insane when this happened can be retrieved from my sister, Lisa.
But hey, my university have yet to decide on an open date. And KPT still haven't released an official statement that allows any of us to go back into Egypt yet... And Imma manipulate all that time, so...
I BOUGHT TICKETS TO SEE MGMT THIS 25TH MARCH.
GAHAHAHAHA. Am gonna see it with a family friend, coz a friend I would've initially go with is 'stuck' in Perlis due to studies. Boohoo.
Which reminds me that I am still saving up for an Olympus Pen E-PL2 (see right-hand bar). This is out of topic, I know... but the truth is, I'm not really 'saving up' for anything.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a mighty good scolding from Ayah by the end of this month / early March when he finds out how much I've been using the credit cards he gave me. Yes. CREDIT CARDS with an 'S'. And not even half of the things I use it for is due to emergencies. ACK!
I used cash as often as I can in England but seeing the pile of cash getting thinner and thinner scares me, so sometimes I use credit cards. That way I can't physically SEE the depletion. -____-"
And once I got home, I use cards to: Pay for my sister's outdated gym membership, buy groceries a whole lotta times and most importantly; PAY FOR PETROL.
I'm apparently very unlucky coz every time I take a car out... It will always, always almost run out of gas. I don't mind lah nak isi minyak for the little cars like the Volkswagen Golf GTi and the Mini Cooper S. But hot damnnnnn.... Volkswagen Touareg and the Volvo XC90 has GINORMOUS tanks. I cringe every single time I look at the THIS thingy:
This is the total for Le Touareg.
*dies*
See, the point is... DUDE I spent so much money la wey this month. And I just ordered Wendelin Van Draanen's 'Flipped' from MPH (from which I received a call from just this morning saying that the book will arrive in 6-8 weeks, WTF I know, coz they need to order from the publisher overseas), and yes. The MGMT tickets.
-____________-"
My sister and cousin are planning to attend Maroon 5 late April... and I need to start saving up for Coldplay this coming May. And and and just in case Ayah doesn't receive free tickets to see the F1 race this year (I really hope this doesn't happen, coz he didn't take up the offer last year, DO NOT EVEN ASK ME WHY) I need to buy my own. Hillside only lahhh but who cares as long as I bring binoculars I can see PLUS I wish that it rains again this year like it did in 2009 so I have an excuse to purchase and wear raincoats and inexistent Wellingtons. Nyahah.
Should've gotten one of these Topshop ones in London:

Rain capelets.
Or is anyone willing to loan me about $600 for one from the latest Burberry collection?
Okay okay Wowo stop nao. I need to go buy some groceries fruit juices for this house PLUS some grapefruits for myself(!) and a box of mineral / drinking water to store in my room. And after that: house chores coz Mama will freak outttt if she finds out that we still have yet to sweep and mop the floor downstairs.
And after all that: THE GYM. A place I strangely miss, coz DUDE it feels so bloody good to workout, and take a shower afterwards. Really refreshing, seriously. And I need to go coz I ate a whole lot this recent weekend, namely: Nando's, Domino's pizza, SUPER YUMS seafood chow at the Manhattan Fish Market, and some other shizz that I don't remember AKA do not want to coz I am afraid it'll lead to self-hatred for having no self-control when it comes to food.
Tuh-ta!
P/S: Song for this post isssss
" coz its not about the money money money
we don't need your money money money
we just wanna make the worlddddd dance
forget about the priceeee taggg "
Do you reckon I'll get away with something free if I sang this song to the cashiers over at Rock Corner? Coz I want some new CDs, but I don't wanna pay for em.
No? Oh well. No harm in trying.
